Efficient up tracks are essential to being able to consistently ski 2000m+ days backcountry ski touring. Ever get cold at a col or summit while friends are falling backwards or having problems with skins falling off? It could be your up track. If you are thinking about becoming a Guide, doing your Exam this winter or are often the trail breaker in your crew of friends, then this course is for you. We are continually disappointed in the up tracks that we see out there. Learn from our years of ski touring experience to set the most efficient up track given the terrain and the best ways of mitigating the hazards encountered along the way. Group size is kept to a maximum of three people so everyone has ample time leading the group. This course will most likely be held in Glacier National Park or Rogers Pass. A perfect place to observe other up tracks and see better ways of setting the most efficient one.
